Payment Gateways & FinTech

Pillar three

Checkout is the decisive moment

That is where the customer decides to complete the purchase or leave. Any friction there — a card declined with no clear reason, a missing instalment option, a slow page — means an abandoned cart and wasted marketing effort. We take the technical side of payments off your hands entirely.

Gateway integration over APIs

It always starts with the base: a payment gateway wired to your store properly through its APIs. We work with mada and with local and international card schemes through the gateways established in the Saudi and Gulf markets, and we verify that every operation — from capture through to refund — passes cleanly before launch.

We integrate the methods available to your store per your platform and provider agreement; final activation, terms and fees remain each provider's decision.

E-invoicing — where does your store sit in the integration waves?

The Zakat, Tax and Customs Authority mandated electronic invoices in two phases, then integration with the Fatoora platform in successive waves whose revenue threshold falls with each wave. Wave 24 — with a deadline of 30 June 2026 — covered taxpayers whose VAT-taxable revenue exceeded SAR 375,000 in any of 2022, 2023 or 2024, the lowest threshold to date, pulling a wide band of smaller stores into scope.

  1. 2007

    Electronic Transactions Law

    Royal Decree M/18, 8/3/1428H

  2. 2007

    Anti-Cyber Crime Law

    Royal Decree M/17, 8/3/1428H

  3. 2019

    E-Commerce Law

    Royal Decree M/126, 7/11/1440H

  4. 2021

    E-Invoicing (Fatoora)

    ZATCA — Phase 1 from 4 Dec 2021

Mandated electronic issuance, then phased integration with the Fatoora platform in successive waves.

  5. 2021

    Personal Data Protection Law

    Royal Decree M/19 (9/2/1443H), amended by M/148 (5/9/1444H)

The first comprehensive personal-data framework, overseen by SDAIA, setting data-subject rights and controller duties.

  6. 2024

    Full PDPL enforcement begins

14 September 2024 — end of the grace period

The transition period ended and the Law and its two implementing regulations became fully enforceable on controllers.

  7. 2026

    Wave 24 of e-invoicing integration

    ZATCA — deadline 30 June 2026

Covers taxpayers whose VAT-taxable revenue exceeded SAR 375,000 in 2022, 2023 or 2024 — the lowest threshold to date, pulling a wide band of small stores into scope.
